Unloading

These pieces were made in response to a rather charged day of internship. I started with 2 layers of muslin filed with cotton batting. I then sewed down the middle to create a kind of "page" look. I then layered all over the thing - kinda losing it in the process. I utilized iron-on imagery, stamping, and lots of freehand writing with fabric markers/regular old Sharpies. The page on the right is devoted to reminders of "self-care" while the left side page is mostly processing. I'm thinking I may go back into this piece with the sewing machine or hand embroidery - but I'm still on the fence about it :) Eventually it may be fun to incorporate into a fabric book of some sort?
